The Ministry of the Solicitor General has posted draft Community Safety and Policing Act regulations to the Ontario Regulation Registry. These regulations are proposals, are not finalized and not in effect.

February 3, 2023 is the deadline to provide the Ministry with feedback on these draft regulations which will impact the functions, uniforms, authorities, oversight and tools for Special Constables in Ontario.

This is a historic, once in a generation opportunity to shape the future of our entire profession and the public safety service we provide to our communities.
